Speciality Areas: Volcano Seismology, Volcano-seismic Monitoring

Leveraging my background, my research focuses on building software tools to enhance volcano-seismic monitoring, and understanding volcanic hazards. My research interests include:

• cataloging, parameterizing and locating volcano-seismic signals including earthquake swarms, tremor, and pyroclastic density currents, and lahars;
• automatic classification of discrete volcanic-seismic signals
• banded tremor and its relation to hybrid swarms, ascent rate and dome collapses;
• rainfall-induced dome collapses
• open-source development of monitoring software, including alarm systems and near-real-time analysis tools
