Stations Statistics (of May 2005 data) and Database Information

Magnitude Residuals
Stations with > +0.4 magnitude residual (ie very small mag; REMOVE from Dbloc calc.):
IVS, ILI, RDN, DOL
Stations with < -0.4 magnitude residual (ie very large mag; REMOVE from Dbloc calc.):
CKN, FIB, DCPH, OKWR
Stations with > -0.2 magnitude residual (ie larger mag; be cautious):
SPIA, HAG, HUR, AUP, FALS, AUE, AUW, CGL, VNSG, VNFG, THY, VNHG, BWN, PV6, CAHL, KCE
Stations with < +0.2 magnitude residual (ie smaller mag; be cautious):
KBM, KVT, XLV, MMN, AUL, ACH, MLY
**Remove any station magnitude if it exceeds +/- 1 ml of the avg ml, smaller ml requires +/- 0.5ml**

Timing Residuals

Stations with +/-0.4 timing:*
BLDY, PN7A, CHX, IM02, DCPH, OKWR, TZL, GCSA, KCE, ANNW, HOM, PV6, HARP, PLBL, ANON, SKAG, BC05, CRAG, BGM, KDAK, ILI
(Stations in bold - be careful using these as the may throw off the solution - ie DO NOT use if it is a distant earthquake ~ 2 degrees)
Stations with +/-0.3 timing:*
WHY, THY, YKU2, AUL, KOKV, ISNN, DOT, WESN, HAG, PLK2, COLD, WRG, RED, CFI, INK, SVW2, TTA, SGA, CGL
* The majority of the timing issues are due to the remote locations of these stations, do not discard picks on them due to errors. Only stations in bold should be used carefully as the timing issues are more important.
